  • Position Summary

    The Electronic Tech Supervisor is responsible for the direction and supervision of the shop and field Electronic Technicians. They will ensure employees are properly trained, are performing their job in accordance with all Oasis EHS and operational standards and guidelines, and managed through the disciplinary process as necessary. They will provide routine input with regard to corrective actions and necessary changes to Oasis SOPs. The Electronic Tech Supervisor will also track component failures, maintain adequate inventory of components, and interface with third party equipment/service providers to devise timely and appropriate solutions.  

    Essential Job Functions

    • Supervise and mentor technicians in the shop and in the field
    • Ensures compliance with all safety policies, procedures and guidelines
    • During time on, be the on-call expert for all issues related to electronic systems for field staff
    • Maintain routine communication loop with software and control instrument providers to ensure corrective actions are followed through
    • Able to troubleshoot remotely and recommend repair work
    • Track component failures and carry out/provide input to the corrective action process.
    • Working with the Service Writer and Mechanic Supervisor, prioritize repairs of assets on base to ensure availability for operations
    • Working with the manager, maintain sufficient inventory levels of consumable parts
    • Communicate progress of repairs to Service Writer, Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager as needed
    • Coordinates with Manager to implement innovative ideas, modifications and EH&S systems

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 5+ years of Electronic Technician experience with at least 2 years of experience working with frac equipment
    • Experience working with and troubleshooting coriolis flowmeters, magnetic flowmeters, turbine flowmeters, and feedback loops relating to hydraulically controlled: centrifugal pumps, progressive cavity pumps, valves, and auger systems.
    • Experience working with and troubleshooting frac equipment control software, and cRIO industrial controllers.
    • Able to read and utilize wiring schematics
    • Strong working knowledge related to setting up and troubleshooting LAN and WAN networks
    • Familiarity with frac equipment, operations, and process.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with LIME Frac Equipment Control Software and FracPro Data Collection Software
    • Familiarity with Surefire and Freemyer manufactured frac equipment.
    • Working knowledge related to CAN systems and error codes
    • Technical training or certificate in electronics
    • 10+ years of Electronic Technician experience or 3+ years of Electronic Tech Supervisory experience
