  • Position Summary

    The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of support related tasks and will be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, have strong interpersonal skills and be able to balance multiple priorities at the same time. The purpose of this position is to provide technical administrative support to the Land Administration, Development and OMS Land Groups as directed. This position will report to the Land Manager and is located in downtown Houston, TX. Level and salary commensurate with background and experience. 

    Essential Job Functions

    • Assist in the preparation and management of the Well Balloting and other and correspondence regularly sent to partners for operated and non-operated properties
    • Assist in the preparation of check requests and recording of legal documents in the appropriate county
    • Assist in processing invoices, including AFE clearing
    • Perform other administrative duties, including data gathering, spreadsheet preparation, database management, document retention, including filing, scanning and copying
    • Assist with answering or routing working interest owner questions
    • Assist in the partner reporting process
    • Assist Land & Land Administration Departments as needed

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • One year of relevant experience working as a Land Tech or similar role in the industry
    • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Ability to identify problems and resolve them quickly
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
    • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:  Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Experience with Microsoft Office
    • Experience with Enertia Land/Accounting Software
    • Familiarity with legal descriptions, title and general land terminology
