  • Position Summary

    Oasis Petroleum has field internship opportunities available for the summer for student’s currently enrolled in their sophomore year. These individuals will have the opportunity to work in a field operations environment in Williston, ND. 

    Essential Job Functions

    Interns are assigned a mentor, will have the opportunity to shadow in a field operations area(s), and will be responsible for a project to gain valuable experience and contribute to the Oasis team.  Interns will give a final presentation to management at the end of the summer.  Interns will gain:

    • A fundamental understanding of the field operations of the Company
    • A basic understanding of safe processes and related behaviors
    • Experience networking and building relationships inside and outside of Oasis
    • Exposure to different disciplines of field operations as available

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Pursuing Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering or related Engineering degree.
    • Expected graduation date of December 2020 or later
    • Candidates applying must be able to work in their assigned North Dakota field location (Williston, Watford City or Alexander) during their internship
    • Must be able to provide an academic transcript 
    • Available for a minimum of twelve continuous weeks

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous oil and gas related internship experience
    • Strong academic performance
