  • Position Summary

    Oasis is recruiting a Geology Interns for summer 2019 in Houston, TX.

    Essential Job Functions

    As an intern, you will spend your summer focused on a meaningful geologic project(s) and also have the opportunity to gain a basic understanding of the geologist role and technical demands related to hydrocarbon exploitation.  This opportunity will take place alongside and with our current Geologic staff.  You will be assigned a mentor and a project(s) where you will gain valuable, hands-on experience and contribute to the Oasis team while managing other day-to-day duties as a Geologist.  All interns will give a final presentation at the end of the summer.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Pursuing a Master’s degree in Geology or Geophysics
    • Expected Graduation date of December 2019 or May 2020
    • Willingness and ability to travel to other Oasis locations
    • Available for a minimum of twelve continuous weeks
    • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess the ability to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer, copier, files, telephone, and fax; maintain attention to detail despite multi-tasking ; acuity to read printed materials or a computer screen and communicate in person or a telephone conversation

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Strong academic performance in core programs
    • Good communication, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills
    • Prior geoscience internship or work experience
