  • Position Summary

    Oasis is recruiting for a Land Intern for Summer 2019 located in our downtown Houston, TX office.  As an Oasis Land Intern, you will be assigned a project(s) based upon your prior Land experience (if any), aptitude, and current company needs. The Land intern will primarily be working directly with Oasis Landmen, but will also gain exposure to the Lease Records and Division Orders groups as well.

     

    Essential Job Functions

    • Assist Landmen with Well Proposals, Drilling Clearance Letters, Units Audits, JOAs, Communitization Agreements and other contractual obligations
    • Work with Land personnel on daily filing, Land Well File organization and mailings
    • Work directly with Landmen on Leasing and Title Curative projects
    • Assist Land Department as needed

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Juniors and above
    • Pursuing a Bachelors of Business Administration in Energy Commerce or Energy Management
    • Willingness and ability to travel other Oasis locations
    • Available for a minimum of twelve continuous weeks
    • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess the ability to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer, copier, files, telephone, and fax; maintain attention to detail despite multi-tasking ; acuity to read printed materials or a computer screen and communicate in person or a telephone conversation

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Strong academic performance in core programs
    • Good communication, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills
    • Previous Land internship experience
