  • Position Summary

    The Electronics Technician will provide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on all electric and electronic systems related to the fracturing process.  This individual will work in both the field and shop settings.  This individual will work as part of the maintenance staff to handle routine maintenance issues, troubleshoot issues, and plans for equipment needs to ensure successful operation of Oasis Well Services (OWS) assets.  Wage and level commensurate with experience.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Must understand and perform all duties according to Oasis standard operating procedures and in compliance with all regulatory guidelines and EH&S guidelines.
    • Repair and maintain all company equipment including:
      • Electrical and electronic systems
      • Recording and control software
      • Field computers and network equipment
    • Provide updates and complete modification requests
    • Communicate progress of repairs to colleagues, service writer and maintenancke manager as needed
    • Perform preventive maintenance on Oasis equipment according to Oasis and manufacturer guidelines
      • Identify problem areas
      • Assist in making remedial action plans
      • Assist in scheduling and costing repairs
    • Able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical equipment problems
    • Maintain electrical and electronic parts inventory levels, which includes:
      • Ordering of new components
      • Shipping and receiving of components parts out for repair
      • Training of maintenance and operations personnel on electrical systems and control software and hardware
    • Develop an understanding of fracturing and other oilfield operations
    • Perform work in other tasks as directed by manager

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 2 years Electronics Technician experience
    • Knowledge of electronic control systems, QA-QC and troubleshooting
    • Must provide own hand tools.
    • Good verbal and written communications skills.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    •                 Valid driver's license

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 2 years Electronics Technician experience in service company or oilfield operating company
    • Technical training diploma or certificate in electronics recommended
