  • Position Summary


    Works under, and takes direction from more senior mechanics to maintain and diagnose/repair problems with oilfield frac equipment including pump equipment, diesel engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and lifting equipment. This position is based out of Williston, ND. Level and wage commensurate with experience.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Understand and perform all duties according to Oasis standard operating procedures and in compliance with all regulatory guidelines and EH&S guidelines.
    • Perform preventive maintenance on Oasis equipment according to Oasis and manufacturer guidelines
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a variety of oilfield equipment and systems including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
    • Assist in maintaining inventory levels, which includes:
      • Ordering of new components
      • Shipping and receiving of components parts out for repair
    • Communicate progress of repairs and maintenance to colleagues, service writer and maintenance manager
    • Develop an understanding of fracturing and other oilfield operations
    • Perform inspections required by company and government entities
    • Test equipment for proper operation
    • Understand and assist with interpreting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuits, drawings and prints
    • Performs various other duties assigned by supervisor/manager within the physical constraints of the job

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Valid driver's license
    • 2 years relevant experience or equivalent
    • Ability to comply with DOT regulations
    • Flexibility to work 14/7 rotation
    • Basic computer skills
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to successfully complete a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen, background check, physical, functional capacity examination, and to be able to meet all physical requirements of the job

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 4 years Mechanic experience in service company or oilfield operating company
    • Valid Class A CDL
    • Mechanic technical training or certificate
