  • Position Summary

    Under general supervision of the Inventory Supervisor, the Inventory Operator is responsible for the shipping, receiving, and transferring of materials between the yards/warehouses and the field.  The Inventory Operator safely operates a variety of equipment including but not limited to forklifts, skid steers and front end loaders.  This position ensures all inbound/outbound shipments have appropriate documentation and paperwork. 

     

    This position is rotational: 2 weeks on and 1 week off. Two straight weeks/14 days on, 1 week/7 days- off, 12 hour shifts.  This role is located in Williston, ND; level and salary commensurate with experience. 

    Essential Job Functions

    • Receives shipments, inspects for proper quantity and quality, and stores inventory at proper locations within the warehouse and on the yard.
    • Operates material transfer equipment to move products, equipment or materials on/off of transport equipment.
    • Interprets strap chart/diagram and performs basic arithmetic. Calculates feet for joints of pipe.
    • Assists in tracking of inbound and outbound shipments of materials.
    • Assists in maintaining inventory control of inventory items and equipment.
    • Maintains records and files in support of purchasing function and duties.
    • Duties may include lifting of up to 50 lbs.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High-school diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Must be able to operate a forklift.
    • Ability to carry out simple arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
    • Good communication skills (oral and written) are required.
    • Strong organization and problem solving skills as well as the ability to work independently with changing priorities.
    • Applicant must be able to pass & meet all pre/post-employment screening process requirements.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous experience working with hazardous materials.
    • 1 year experience operating heavy equipment (pay loader, forklift, etc.)
    • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Proficient with computers, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and other MS Office programs
    • Ability to think strategically.
    • Familiar with SDS format, and how to utilize a SDS.
