  • Position Summary

    This individual will be responsible for providing administrative assistance to the Human Resources department and serving as a point of contact for employees. The schedule for this position is a 9/80 option and is located in Williston, ND.  Level and salary commensurate with background and experience.

    Essential Job Functions

    Coordinate and assist with human resources activities, including (but not limited to)


    • Serve as in-house HR contact for employees
    • Provide support for Learning & Development (such as program initiatives, organize trainings, update system)
    • Provide support for Employee Relations activities (such as process I-9s, prepare responses to unemployment claims, EEO tracking & reporting)
    • Provide support for Recruiting (such as posting jobs, scheduling interviews, supervise orientation, planning travel arrangements, etc) as needed
    • Manage events in Oasis’ learning management system including scheduling training, inviting attendees, entering rosters, etc
    • Organize requests from management for employee training
    • Assist with meeting logistics, such as set up training rooms and handle catering for HR or training events
    • Handle room bookings, lunch arrangements and travel arrangements as needed
    • Guide employees regarding updates to the HRIS such as address changes, W-4 updates, or direct deposit changes
    • Assist in the preparation of HR materials for distribution
    • Assist with administration of light duty and leave of absence process
    • Prepare and/or process internal forms
    • Organize files and assist in data tracking
    • Reconcile HR Department Purchasing Cards and assist with expense report preparation
    • Work with Accounting on invoice process for payment using the accounting system and follow up on payment status for vendors as needed 
    • Distribute department mail
    • Provide backup for reception position as well as coverage for lunch and breaks
    • Handle and/or assist with special projects or other HR related assignments as requested

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
    • Positive, team-oriented attitude with an innate desire to help people
    • Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
    • Effective face-to-face and email communication
    • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and direction from multiple people
    • Able to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
    • Able to work under tight deadlines
    • Able to travel to field offices as needed
    • Must live within 50 mile radius of Williston, ND 
    • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:  Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
    • Experience working within Human Resources organization
    • Oil and gas experience
