  • Position Summary

    The primary purpose of this role is to provide Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) support and technical services to the Company, with a strong emphasis on occupational safety.  Candidates should be recognized for expertise in a particular EHS function/discipline or for broad crossdiscipline EHS knowledge.

    This position is midstream focused and located in Watford City, ND. Level and salary commensurate with background and experience.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Facilitate incident investigations and reviews
    • Use TapRooT analysis software to identify and address the conditions leading to incidents
    • Work with operations teams to develop corrective actions for RCA, regulatory and audit findings
    • Evaluate site hazards with Operations team and recommend corrective actions
    • Conduct routine face to face training with field personnel
    • Working knowledge of safe work permitting systems
    • Regularly manage concurrent projects and assignments

    • Daily travel to regional offices/well sites
    • Ability to represent work group on cross-discipline project teams
    • Provide sound input and recommendations to team and management
    • Develop a variety of business documents and deliver presentations that illustrate command of language, clarity of thought, and orderliness of information

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 2 years working knowledge and experience in E&P field operations
    • 2 years of experience in a field-based midstream EHS support role
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Live within a 50 mile commuting radius of Watford City, ND or willing to relocate
    • Ability to fit-test and wear a full-face respirator
    • Strong working knowledge of EHS Management Systems, OSHA, DOT and other applicable industry regulations
    • Able to communicate effectively with all walks of life
    • Strong leadership abilities
    • Works well in a team environment
    • Valid drivers license
    • Proficient with Microsoft products such as Powerpoint, Excel and Word

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 5 years of experience in an EHS role
    • 5 years working knowledge and experience in E&P upstream and midstream field operations, land-based drilling and completions
    • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Fire Protection, Environmental Engineering or a related field
