  • Position Summary

    The primary purpose of this role is to provide Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) support and technical services to the Company, with a strong emphasis on employee occupational safety, EHS management systems and contractor safety management.  Candidates should be recognized for expertise in a particular EHS function/discipline or for broad crossdiscipline EHS knowledge.


    This position is located in Houston, TX.


    Level and salary commensurate with background and experience.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Data analysis and support of EHS database applications and support
    • Experience working in and maintaining an EHSMS
    • Experience in managing contractor safety programs, promoting continuous improvement within the contractor workforce and working knowledge of PEC Safety and ISNetworld contractor management tools.
    • Development of EHS documents in support of operational safety practices
    • Facilitate or participate in incident investigations and reviews
    • Work with operations teams to develop corrective actions for RCA, regulatory and audit findings
    • Regularly manage concurrent projects and assignments
    • Ability to represent work group on cross-discipline project teams
    • Develop a variety of business documents and deliver presentations that illustrate command of language, clarity of thought, and orderliness of information

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 4 years working knowledge and experience in E&P upstream operations
    • 8 years of experience in a field or office-based EHS support role
    • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Fire Protection, Environmental or Safety Engineering or a related field
    • Occasional travel to regional offices/well sites will be necessary
    • Strong working knowledge of EHS Management Systems, OSHA, DOT and other applicable industry regulations
    • Strong influence and partnering skills
    • Strong written, verbal and PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 10 years of experience in an EHS role with some supervisory experience
    • ASP/CSP or similar accreditation
    • 5 years working knowledge and experience in E&P upstream and midstream field operations, land-based drilling and completions
