  • Position Summary

    This position will assist the Environmental Health & Safety department by taking responsibility for all administrative and support functions.  The candidate will be able to work independently with moderate supervision and have the experience to know when to follow up. This person must be able to shift priorities and adapt quickly to the needs of the group.  Strong interpersonal and analytical skills and the ability to work with internal and external contacts are required. This position is located in Houston, TX.

     

    Level and salary commensurate with background and experience.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Assist in preparation of weekly and monthly EHS summary reports for use in multiple presentations
    • Coordinate training and scheduling activities with all departments
    • Update department heads on personnel training status
    • Maintain training and associated EHS databases
    • Maintain inventory control for EHS supplies
    • Assist in drafting EHS manuals, various presentations, and support material
    • Interact with contractors and vendors in acquiring EHS information
    • Assist with expense reports and travel arrangements
    • Assist with analysis and trending of EHS data
    • Support ACTS software user group (Houston)
    • Assist Contractor EHS Representative in managing contractor safety database

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Experience working in an administrative support function
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to details
    • Proficient computer skills with a good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
    • Basic Microsoft Power BI and SQL programming skills

    Preferred Qualifications
