  • Position Summary

    The Foreman is responsible for the effective and economic installation, operation and maintenance of oil and gas production facilities for Oasis Petroleum.  This individual will ensure the safe and successful execution of the production program. This position will report to the field operations General Manager. Salary and level commensurate with experience.

    Essential Job Functions

    Supervises company and contract Lease Operators

    • Supervises company and contract personnel conducting repair and maintenance operations
    • Oversees activities of contractors performing well service lease maintenance and monitor work over operations
    • Communicates with Marketing group and oil buyers
    • Recommends and implements maintenance programs
    • Recommends changes in production operations and confer with Production Superintendent on implementing changes
    • Codes and approves all invoices for services to properties under his control
    • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with surface owners
    • Oversees safety program
    • Familiar with workovers and facility installations
    • Oversees other projects or duties as assigned as the Company grows

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 4 years related experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Must be able to commute to work site locations on a daily basis
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Computer proficient including Microsoft Office
    • Reporting software experience, e.g. Open Wells
    • Demonstrated safety leader in previous functions
    • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
      • Able to handle exposure to noise, extreme weather conditions, and areas where hazardous chemicals are present
      • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, climb stairs, kneel, stoop, sit, walk extensively
      • Ability to successfully complete a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen, background check, physical, functional capacity examination, and to be able to meet all physical requirements of the job

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Permian Basin experience
    • Related Foreman experience in the oil and gas industry
    • Associates Degree or comparable technical certification
