  • Position Summary

    Provide technical support for the midstream capital projects engineering & construction team.  Work closely with project engineers, operations and construction personnel to gather and analyze data in support of capital projects and midstream operations.  This position will report to the Oasis Midstream Services Manager of Engineering and Construction and will be located in downtown Houston, TX.  Level and salary commensurate with experience. 

    Essential Job Functions

    • Work with project engineering team to improve project efficiencies and streamline the work flow
    • Assist in developing midstream capital projects processes & procedures
    • Assist with data gathering and filing for regulatory & environmental compliance
    • Prepare pipeline hydraulic models
    • Prepare drawings and sketches as needed
    • Develop project cost estimates and assist with cost tracking
    • Prepare documentation for AFE approval
    • Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Measurement, Accounting, IT, SCADA and Control Room as needed
    • Gather and review data for capital projects and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
    • Maintain construction cost database
    • Develop pipeline and facilities capacities
    • Maintain project closeout records and documentation
    • Ability to work on quick turnarounds with short deadlines
    • Participate with special projects and other duties as needed

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 2 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry
    • Strong computer skills
    • Proficiency in Excel
    • Team player with intellectual curiosity, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, an innovative bent and persistent attention to detail
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Self-motivated, independent contributor
    • Detail oriented and organized 
    • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:  Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of Midstream facilities and operations
    • Experience in Midstream capital project planning & execution
    • Experience with other software programs (e.g. Visio, Autocad, MS Project, Openwells, Enertia)
    • Experience in preparing and maintaining databases
