Position Summary

Oasis is seeking an Accountant to support the continuing growth of its midstream business. The Accountant will be responsible for ensuring financial information for the Company’s oil, gas and water systems are recorded accurately and timely. This position will report directly to the Midstream Accounting Supervisor and is located in Houston, Texas. Level and salary commensurate with experience.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare monthly journal entries for monthly accounting close
  • Prepare monthly accruals for capital, operating expenses and revenue
  • Collect, analyze and compare data for monthly financial accrual meetings
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reconciliations and analyses for GL accounts
  • Prepare monthly invoices and allocations for all product streams and track payments
  • Monitor AFEs through workflow
  • Liaison between Accounts Payable and Operations for coding questions
  • Work closely with all functions of Accounting, Operations and Marketing
  • Maintain SOX compliance
  • Perform special projects as assigned/needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related degree
  • 2 years of accounting experience
  • Oil and gas accounting experience
  • Strong analytical and research skills and the ability to multitask and produce results under tight deadlines
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all areas of the organization
  • Team-oriented individual
