Position Summary

Oasis Petroleum has field internship opportunities available for the summer for students currently pursuing an Engineering degree. These individuals will have the opportunity to work in a field operations environment in Williston, ND. 

Essential Job Functions

Interns are assigned a mentor, will have the opportunity to shadow in a field operations area(s), and will be responsible for a project to gain valuable experience and contribute to the Oasis team.  Interns will give a final presentation to management at the end of the summer.  Interns will gain:

  • A fundamental understanding of the field operations of the Company
  • A basic understanding of safe processes and related behaviors
  • Experience networking and building relationships inside and outside of Oasis
  • Exposure to different disciplines of field operations as available

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing Bachelors or Masters degrees in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering
  • Expected graduation date of December 2019 or later
  • Candidates applying must be able to work in their assigned North Dakota field location (Williston, Watford City or Alexander) during their internship
  • Must be able to provide an academic transcript

Preferred Qualifications

  • Petroleum Engineering majors
  • Previous oil and gas related internship experience
  • Strong academic performance
  • Good communication, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic with internal drive to succeed
