Position Summary

This position will be responsible for the overall supervision and support for one frac fleet.  Duties include managing all supervisors assigned to frac fleet (three crews), ensuring operations are conducted according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and working with Safety, Quality, and Maintenance representatives to monitor and improve fleet performance. This individual will work a 2 week on 1 week off schedule.

Essential Job Functions

  • Directly manage all supervisors on assigned frac fleet including career development, quarterly reviews, mentoring and training.
  • Set up and track systems/processes to ensure supervisors are effectively managing operators on respective crews. 
  • Set up and track systems/processes to ensure crews are preparing, travelling, rigging up/down, operating and maintaining equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Operations Manual.
  • Work with supervisors to ensure crew has all required equipment, tools and safety equipment to perform operations according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Operations Manual.
  • Conduct daily discussion with maintenance manager regarding status of current and upcoming equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Conduct weekly (or agreed upon time frame) review of all DOT log violations / deficiencies with supervisors to discuss coaching and/or training plan for offenders.
  • Perform weekly audits (or agreed upon time frame) of frac operations, document findings and review with crew at end of tour on same day.
  • Work with others in the OWS and OPNA organization to support all Root Cause Analysis for all quality and safety related incidents pertaining to the frac fleet (three crews) assigned.
  • Report findings of Root Cause Analyses to management and monitor progress of action items weekly with assigned individuals.
  • Work with others in the OWS and OPNA organization to implement improvements to the frac fleet (e.g. testing different fluid ends, new equipment, etc).
  • Review frac fleet efficiency and safety incidents monthly with management looking for opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct job interviews for prospective employees required to operate the frac fleet.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • 4 years or more frac experience
  • 2 years or more frac supervisor experience and/or Frac Engineer experience
  • Current, valid drivers license
  • Ability to successfully complete a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen, background check, physical,  functional capacity examination, and to be able to meet all physical requirements of the job
